Princeps Sator — Privacy Policy
Effective date: [launch date]
Princeps Sator is operated by Princeps Inc., Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. The person responsible for the protection of personal information can be reached at support@princep.org.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer reference, transaction history, and billing country. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage metadata: for each API request we record the model used, token counts, timestamps, and which API key made the request. This is what powers billing and your usage dashboard.
- API content (prompts and outputs): your content passes through our systems to serve your request. We do not keep it, apart from short-lived operational logs (retained up to 30 days) used for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Anti-bot signals: we use Cloudflare Turnstile at signup. We do not use advertising trackers.
What we never do
- We never use your content to train AI models.
- We never sell your personal information or your content.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), and Resend (transactional email). Data may be stored or processed outside Quebec and Canada on these providers' infrastructure.
Retention
- Account information: kept while your account is active, deleted on request after closure.
- Billing and credit-ledger records: kept for approximately 7 years, as required by tax law.
- Operational logs containing API content: at most 30 days.
- Usage metadata (token counts, models, timestamps): kept for billing history and your dashboard.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent, by emailing support@princep.org. You may also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email before they take effect.
